Introduction : PLISJ is dedicated to advancing organized knowledge in all areas of Library and Information Science in Pakistan and on global scale. The journal publishes peer-reviewed survey and original research articles covering topics such as new information technologies, education and training, human resource management, the evolving role of libraries, future trends, bibliographic databases, cataloging challenges, electronic publishing, acquisitions, collection development, administration, management, archives, preservation, and special collections, as well as automation and cataloging. The journal serves as a platform for scholarly contributions, including original research, scientific surveys, case studies, book reviews, and letters to the Editor-in-Chief. Mission Statement: Our mission is to advance library and information sciences through thorough research, insightful analysis, and practical applications. We are dedicated to promoting excellence in the profession, supporting the sharing of scholarly work, and fostering collaboration among professionals worldwide. We Offer: Peer-Reviewed Research: Our journal publishes original research papers, literature reviews, case studies, and theoretical articles that undergo rigorous evaluation by experts in the field to ensure high quality and academic integrity. Interdisciplinary Approach: We welcome contributions from a variety of disciplinary perspectives, acknowledging the multifaceted nature of library and information sciences and their connections to fields such as technology, education, sociology, and more. Global Perspective: The Pakistan Library and Information Science Journal embraces a worldwide outlook, recognizing the unique challenges and opportunities faced by libraries and information professionals across the globe. We aim to foster international dialogue and share ideas to tackle common issues and promote best practices. Open Access: We believe in the principles of open access and strive to make research freely available to scholars, practitioners, and the public, thereby maximizing the impact and reach of academic knowledge. Community Engagement: In addition to publishing scholarly articles, we actively engage with our community through conferences, workshops, webinars, and other events to facilitate networking, professional development, and collaboration among researchers and practitioners.
