This section is dedicated to the pioneers of Library Education in Pakistan. The founding faculty consisted of six faculty members which are as under:

   
 

Prof. Dr. Abdul Moid
Professor and Founder Chairperson
B.A., C.L.S., M.A.L.S. (Michigan), Ph D. (Illinois)

 
Father of Pakistan Librarianship
 
First Pakistani to receive the degree of Ph.D. in library science from University of Illinois
  Founder Secretary General of the Pakistan Library Association in 1957
  He was actively involved in establishing the Karachi Library Association in 1949
   

 

 

Mr. Habibuddin Ahmad Qazi

Librarian, Department of Education Quetta from 1943-1947
  Chief Librarian, Command and Staff College Quetta from 1948-1957
  Assistant Director; Liaquat National Library from 1957-1964
  Teaches the course 'Introduction to Librarianship' in early days
   

 

 

Mr. Mohammad Shafi
B.A., L.L.B., (Lucknow)

 
Joint Scientific Officer, India from 1934-1944
  Librarian, Constituent Assembly of Pakistan from 1947-1958
  Author of "Expansions of Dewey Decimal Classification Relating to Oriental, Islamic and Pakistani Topic"
  Teaches the course 'Classification' in early days
   

 

 

Mr. Noor Mohammad Khan

  Teaches Library Science at Pakistan Military Academy and in Karachi Library Association in 1948

Mr. Muhammad Nuras Safa
